This week, comment for your chance to win a copy of "Homemade: The Heart and Science of Handcrafts" by Carol Endler Sterbenz, an illustrated encyclopedia of beading, paper crafting, floral arts, decoupage, decorative embellishing, hand printing, and children's arts and crafts. This book is packed with hundreds of techniques and original projects — all explained in easy-to-follow step-by-step directions, and supported by more than 800 hand-drawn illustrations, diagrams, patterns, and clip art.

Recently, Carol stopped by CraftFoxes to talk about a fun and messy craft for kids, papier mache. In the article How to Papier Mache with Kids, she shares her tips for a craft project that is fun and intriguing for the young ones while also inspiring even those jaded middle schoolers to get creative.

I have a real weakness for craft books, but as soon as the word science appears I'm caught. This one looks like it really lives up to its name: truly encyclopedic. I definitely need to have this book on my desk.
