While promoting your crafts online you can use print goods, like custom stickers, to give a boost to your marketing efforts (or just do a little crafting). Here's a handful of ideas:

1. Print customized mailing labels for craft swaps

2. Add your craft blog's logo to stickers and pass them out at retreats or conferences
3. Print your business card info on a sticker to pass out at craft shows
4. Make photo stickers of your family to add to Christmas cards, birth or wedding announcements
5. Make a coupon code for your online craft shop and print it on stickers, given to repeat customers

I recently had the opportunity to try out a online printing service, YouPrint, to make my own custom stickers. Uploading my designs was easy and a blast!

I wrote a quilting book that is being released this September, and I decided to make some custom stickers to help promote it. My plan is to add them to goodie bags for my book's blog tour, give them to friends and pass them out at conferences.

The book is all about the online quilting community, sewing together and making friends via a quilting bee. So, I came up with some fun phrases (like those above) to help share the spirit of the book.

YouPrint's interface is easy to understand. I was navigating the site and using the online layout editor in seconds.
Once I selected the custom sticker design, I deleted the pre-existing header and logo boxes. It's simple to upload a business logo and type in your text directly onto the sticker. I used a graphics program to make a 3" x 3" square image to use on my sticker. I uploaded the image and sized it to fit the square. Easy as pie!

Since my image had a transparent background, I was able to use YouPrint's background color selector to change the background with a click. Above are a few mockups of background colors I like.

Still, I couldn't stop there! I had some more ideas for custom stickers, so I decided to upload a new design. It was easy to start over from scratch. Here's my second design!

For this design, I kept the background transparent (so I could use my own photo) and changed the colors of the main circle with my own image editor. I then uploaded the saved image to YouPrint, and sized it to fit the stickers. Do you like the yellow or the blue better? Let me know in the comments!
As you can tell, I'm excited to get my stickers in the mail so I can pass them out to friends and promote my book!

Have you ever used an online printing service like YouPrint to print your own business cards or custom stickers?
