Between Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day, summer is full of opportunities for a party, not to mention all those pools and barbecue grills just begging to be used. Although it’s easy to set up a Facebook event and invite all your friends through the click of a button, sometimes it’s nice to go old school and send out invitations through snail mail, or better yet, hand-delivered in person. Your guests will light up when they see any of these cute and creative summer invitations!

popsicle invite
Have a lot of old pool noodles lying around the house? Reuse them in these awesome Popsicle invites from She Knows. After cutting the noodles to the right shape, attach Popsicle sticks and any colorful patterned paper to the back. Then just fill out the back like a postcard and send it on its way.

flip flop invites
These flip-flop invites are perfect for any summer event. You can personalize them by using different colored paper or flip-flops so everyone’s is unique. Put a flat magnet on the back so people can put your invite up on the fridge.

hamburger invites
If you’re hosting a cookout on Father’s Day, everyone is sure to get a kick out of these hamburger invitations from Paper Source. You can decorate the burgers with toppings of your choice and write the details on the burger patty and cheese.

picnic invites
These adorable picnic tag printables are an easy way to make a creative invite. You can tie the finished tag around a basket to later be filled with goodies, or maybe attach it to a shopping list for picnic necessities or directions to the perfect picnic spot.

hair gel card
What better way to invite someone to a summer party than to send them a little bit of the pool? Although that may result in some wet paper, so instead try a handmade gel card - you seal blue hair gel or clear handsoap inside a plastic bag that peeks out of a die-cut window.  Get creative with the shape of your window!

pineapple invite
This 3-D pineapple invitation from Oh Happy Day definitely needs to be hand-delivered, but will be worth it when your guests crack it open to see the surprise inside. They recommend filling the inside of the pineapple with candy and confetti, but you could also put directions or an RSVP card in as well.
