It's the holidays, and time for some of the toughest decisions of the year. Chocolate or gingerbread? How about butter cookies? Peppermint? Caramel? Truffles? Biscotti? I can never decide which of my favorite holiday cookie recipes to make. So this year I'm taking the easy way out and hosting a cookie exchange. The rules are simple. Invite your friends to the party, and have them bring a tray (or two) of their favorite cookies. Display the cookies nicely. Then everyone can sit back, enjoy each other's company and drink some wine.  When it's time to go, have everyone pack up a box to take home. It's a simple, satisfying way to see friends and get your sugar fix at the same time.
