This casual tote looks great, holds everything you need and is relatively easy to make.

Materials:
Metal snap (stud and socket) x 1

See pattern side A:
Main leather back piece x 1
4 7/8" (12.5cm)
12 5/8" (32cm)

Pieces and Supplies:
Main leather front piece x 1
12 5/8" (32cm)
9 7/8" (25cm)

Handles x 2:
20 1/2" (52cm)
1 3/8" (3.5cm)

Step 1

Cut out the pieces according to the pattern, available for download here.

Step 2

First cut the top of both outer pieces of leather with pinking shears for a decorative edge. Then, with right sides facing, glue the edges together about 1/8" (0.3cm) on each side.

Step 3

After gluing, sew the pieces together along the edges using a 1/4" (0.5cm) seam allowance.

Step 4

After stitching, turn the bag right side out, and attach the metal snap stud and socket to the fastener and bag front.

Step 5

Finally, sew the hand straps inside the bag mouth, and you’re done!
