This hourglass quilt pattern has a classic look and is easy for amateur quilters.
 
Overall size: 36" x 42"
Block size: 6" x 6" finished
Block count: 20
 
Materials
Inner vertical borders: 2 strips of 1-1/2" x 30-1/2"
Inner horizontal borders: 2 strips of 1-1/2" x 26-1/2"
Outer vertical borders 2: strips of 5-1/2" x 32-1/2"
Outer horizontal borders: 2 strips of 5-1/2" x 36-1/2"
Binding: Blue Star, enough 2-1/4" strips to equal 166" length

Yardages given assume borders are cut selvage to selvage from border fabric; binding length equals measurement of all four sides plus extra inches for seaming together.
