Comment to win a children's clothing pattern from Figgy's
*Update* Congratulations to giveaway winner, Abby!
Four years ago, Shelly Figueroa founded the sewing pattern company that became Figgy’s. She has also co-authored the book “Sewing for Boys” and recently had the opportunity to teach an online class for Craftsy. She’s made various media appearances about sewing and teaching, while continuing to design and release new children’s clothing patterns.
Living just outside of Portland, Oregon, Shelly is passionate about teaching children how to sew, but her home studio is busting at the seams ... which is why Shelly is asking for our help to start Figgy’s Sewing Studio. When you donate through indiegogo, your funds will help to create a fabulous studio space, including paying teachers and purchasing supplies. The long-term goal of the "Figgy's Kids" foundation is to be able to offer FREE open sewing days dedicated to creating new handmade garments and quilts for kids in need. You can read more about Shelly's tips for sewing with kids in her interview with sewn studio.
Figgy's is generously offering one lucky CraftFox a copy of the Banyan pattern. Choose from fitted modern pants or severely cute pleated shorts, pair them with an easy-to-make tee, and you have an outfit ready for all seasons.
