All the news that's fit to craft from around the web.
In this week's Craft Bits, New Year's is on our minds but crafting is still in our hearts. We've got news about a surprising decade making a comeback in vintage, the best craft books and something that'll affect all artisans who sell online. The latter is, of course, the new U.S. Postal Service rules that come into effect in 2012. Flat-rate shipping will take a cut and next-day service will disappear entirely. How are you taking the changes?

'90s Make a Comeback
Though it technically falls under the "over 20 years old, therefore vintage" general rule, we're still not quite ready for the '90s comeback. But if you sell vintage, you might want to keep your eyes out for flannel shirts, chunky books and other early-'90s staples. (Or, just go to your closet.)

(Though we have to say the craft book category has been impressive all around this year, producing high-quality, well-thought-out titles across all interests.) So we agree with this list of best craft titles of 2011, which leans towards sewing-related titles like "The BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook." What were your favorites?
New Year's Apps
It's as good a time as any to indulge in some more deliciously fried foods. You know, because the resolutions don't kick in until January 1st, so you might as well. But if you must, this shortlist of crowd-pleasing appetizers also includes a healthy bruschetta recipe. Happy?
