3D Origami Heart by Polimind
Polimind is a duo of architects who are also a couple and love three-dimensional models. Here's a heart model that's perfect for Valentine's Day or just a day of romance. Materials: To make the heart you'll need at least two pages of red card stock that will fix in your printer and double-sided tape. (These elements are included in the kits.) The paper format is A4 (21x29.7cm) We recommend printing the template on 250-300gr paper

Step 1

Zoom in on the image to the left, right-click and download it to your computer. Print the two pages out on red card stock. Organize the pieces by number, ordering pieces from 1, 2,3,4,5, etc.

A. Glue the strips to the flaps on the paper pieces. B. Put the strip next to the flap, measure the size and cut. C. Unglue one of the layers of the tape and glue it to the flap. Very important: Apply the glue strip always on the side of the piece without any numbering!

Each piece has two types of edges marked with dotted and dashed lines. Fold the piece over all visible edges. Dotted line - fold up Dashed line - fold down

It’s time for assembly! The small numbers (edge IDs) on each piece indicate the position of corresponding flap connection. Follow the big pieces’ numbers first. Start to connect the piece 1 with the piece 2. They will have at least one of the small numbers in common. Then connect the piece 2 to the piece 3., etc. At the end, apply the last piece named CAP to the hole that is left. Please note that the side with numbering and printed lines should be on the interior of the final physical model (not visible).
