Step 2
Cut the hems off of the 2 T-shirts.
Step 3
Cut 15-inch (38.1 cm) strips from the body of the T-shirt.
Step 4
Cut the sleeves off the T-shirts and cut the body portion into 15-inch (38.1 cm) widths.
Step 5
Pin the short 15-inch (38.1 cm) edges together with right sides facing each other, and then stitch them using a 1/4-inch (6 mm) seam allowance.
Step 6
Continue to stitch T-shirt lengths together until the scarf measures 76 inches (193 cm) long.
Step 7
Lay the ends of the scarf flat and make 29 cuts up into the scarf, each 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) wide, to create a fringe at both ends.
Step 8
Using a square knot, tie two fringe strips together and then give them a bit of a tug to create a rolled rope effect. Repeat for the remaining fringe strips.
Step 9
Knot the ends of the fringe.
