Quilted Tote Bag Pattern (Free Pattern)

This tote bag is quick and easy to make. Piecing together multiple octagons in bright colors creates the illusion of lively circles — a Scandinavian style. If you use a subdued color palette, the angles appear more pronounced. 1. Piece together and attach to foundation fabric. 2. With right sides of outer fabric and lining fabric facing, layer quilt batting underneath and sew around perimeter, leaving an opening. 3. Turn right side out and stitch opening closed. 4. Baste and quilt two sets (front and back pieces). 5. With rights sides facing, sew front and back pieces together using a whip stitch. 6. Attach handles.
