I never knew my niece and nephew liked sock monkeys until we visited Midway Village Museum - located in Rockford, Illinois, the birthplace of the first ever sock monkey. The kids decided we had to come back in the spring for Sock Monkey Madness. In the meantime, I decided to make sock monkeys for them.

One pair original Rockford Red Heel socks (per monkey), fiber fill, red and black felt, black embroidery floss, thread to match socks.
