The Wool Cabin
Located in Salt Lake City, The Wool Cabin
is a charming little shop opened in 1979 and going strong for the past 33 years. In 1997, the shop was purchased by Renee Groves, who fostered a knitting friendly environment in the shop and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When Renee passed away in 2003, The Wool Cabin’s future was up in the air, until Renee’s two daughters, Suzette and Alison, took over. The Cabin carries a wide variety of yarn
“for every knitting project.” The Wool Cabin holds classes
like the Herringbone Mosaic Cowl tutorial, and events
such as Thursday Social Knitting.
The "Shop Around the Corner" series is our chance to highlight great craft shops around the country. While we can't feature every store, we are hopping state to state to show off some of the best in craft retail. Would you like to nominate a shop to be featured?
