Watching the ball gowns and handsome suits on the Oscars' red carpet has become an event in its own right, beyond the awards ceremony. It also helps us to dream of the occasion when we'll don our own big puffy dresses, live out our fairy tale fantasies and attend a grand ball.

The "Cupcake" also known as the classic ball gown; it's a big full tulle skirt that either goes all the way down to the ground or stops right above the ankles. It's a classic silhouette from the 50s and the vintage version can be found in all colors and styles.
