How To Crochet Necklaces (Free Crochet Pattern)

This necklace primarily uses a single-crochet stitch and is a fast, easy and cute project for beginners. It features four strands and a crocheted flower with button. This free crochet necklace is posted with the permission of Creativeyarn.
 
SKILL LEVEL: Easy
MATERIALS: Less than one skein of any color yarn (worsted weight)
4.0 mm hook
 
ch(s)= chain(s)
sc= single crochet
beg= beginning
sl st= slip stitch

Step 1

To crochet necklace:
 
Ch77, sc in second ch from hook and in the next 3chs.
Ch76, sc in the 4th ch at the beg of previous ch loop, and in next 3chs, ch1, turn.
Sc in first sc and in next 3 sc, ch80, sc in the 4 sc at the beg of previous row, ch1, turn.
Sc in first sc and in next 3 sc, ch84, sc in the 4 sc at the beg of previous row, ch3 and sl st on the other side of the same closure piece to make a button hole.
Sew a button on the opposite closure piece of the button hole.

Step 2

Crochet a flower of any kind to embellish the necklace, and sew it on the four chains strands. You can use the crocheted flower pattern from the three-strand flower headband.

    This pattern looks so beautiful!! I just wish I could figure out how to do it. The instructions are a little confusing once you try to make it. I've tried it a couple of different ways and can't seem to figure out what the writer means at the end of the rows. It would be awesome if the creator of this pattern did a video tutorial!! I still love this idea, but I think I'll go create my own. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration!!
