Posted by on

The free pattern for this knitted hat and scarf Set with varsity stripe calls for Lion Brand's "Vanna's Choice" yarn.
SIZE: One Size
Scarf about 7 x 66 in (18 x 167.5 cm)
Hat about 19 in. (48.5 cm) circumference, will stretch to fit a range of sizes.
GAUGE: 18 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) in K2, p2 Rib, slightly stretched. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
1. For Hat only, you will need 1 ball of each color yarn. For Scarf only, you will need 2 balls of each color.
2. Scarf can be worked back and forth in rows on circular needle or on straight needles.
