This weekend's craft fairs and festivals feature beads, baubles and even a spot or two of handmade awesomeness.
While we can't write about every craft fair and marketplace happening across the country (or the world), we do like to highlight a handful of notable ones each week. If you'd like more people to know about your craft show or event, list it on our Craft Map and we'll gladly consider it for coverage. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Summit of Awesome
Oct 20-22, (Thur-Fri) 9:30-5:30, (Sat) 9:30-10 pm
This craft fair offers classes on busy-tech (business meets technical?) like the hard-to-misconstrue "Shameless Self-Promotion" seminar. Plus, there is an ongoing "Make Something Awesome" Area, which we like to imagine as a giant play space for those young-as-you-feel crafters out there.

Downtown Open Market
Oct 23, 10-4
This trendy event features vintage goodies and handmade crafts. The monthly market switches from Boca Raton to Boytnon Beach and offers what some of us can only dream of — shopping outdoors on a warm and sunny autumn afternoon.

This bead and jewelry expo offers over 70 workshops and 130 booths. Better yet — a ticket to a workshop (averaging around $20) earns students a free pass into the bead expo.

Collect artist-designed stamps while touring the handmade crafts and endearingly kooky residents of the San Fran's Castro District. The three-square-block route is an easy walk and features original artwork by Dan Nicoletta, Michelle Tea and Margaret Tedesco.
Oro Valley Fall Arts in the Park
Oct 22-23, (Sat) 9-4, (Sun) 10-4
With over 80 juried artists and free admission, what makes this craft show particularly unique is Amado Peña
, an artisan of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona who uses his own heritage and the southwestern landscapes of Canyon de Chelly and Black Mesa to inspire his creations.
Oro Valley Marketplace, Oracle Rd & Tangerine – Southwest Corner, Oro Valley, Arizona, 520-797-3959, email@example.com, Oro Valley Festival
National Harvest Festival
Now through Oct 29, 9:30-6
Family fun park Silver Dollar City hosts their annual autumn celebration with harvest-time foods and — prepare yourself! — Missouri's largest barn dance. Whether that strikes you as a yee-haw or a hee-haw, we're certainly excited by the traveling craftsmen who will offer how-tos in basketweaving, cooking and more.
Oct 21-23, (Fri) 5-9, (Sat, Sun) 12-5
Washtenaw County is getting their art on with Ann Arbor's annual ArtWalk. (A little alliteration, anyone?) Participants are invited to tour their local studios, galleries and arts center to learn more about the unique crafts that Michigan inspires.
