Duct Tape Crafts: Time Lapse Photo Spool

Growing up, every year Ali and Aiden would go to the same photo booth and pose like lovers. Until one day they were no longer posing—they were lovers. And in these frames they displayed where it all began.

MATERIALS
- Duct tape (black)
- Wire (24-gauge, black)

TOOLS
- Long needle nose pliers
- Wire cutter

Step 1

Set aside four 2" x 2" black sheets for the backs of your frames. Cut out one 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" square from the middle of each of the other 2" x 2" black sheets. Keep the frame and discard the square.

Step 2

Place each window on top of 1 whole black sheet. Line up and seal the LFT, RT, and bottom edges by wrapping one 1/2" strip along each side.

Step 3

Punch 1 small hole in each corner and insert photos into the frames. Line up the frames into a column and loop wire between the bottom and top holes to connect the frames together. To hang, attach 1 piece of wire to the top 2 holes of the top frame.

Step 4

This how-to is excerpted with permission from "Stick It!: 99 D.I.Y. Duct Tape Projects" by T.L. Bonaddio (Running Press).
