Embroidered Festive Hand Towel

Greet your holiday guests with a special towel that celebrates the season.

Step 1

MATERIALS:
• Velour towel measuring 12 x 19.5in (30.5 x 49.5cm) with 14-count Aida inset
• Basting thread
• Tapestry needle, no. 24
• Scissors
 
THREADS:
• DMC six-strand embroidery thread, one skein: 321 Red
 
PATTERN:
• To use the pattern for this towel, zoom in on the step 1 image and right click to download and print.

Step 2

Following the chart and color key above (in step one), begin stitching at the center over one square of Aida band using two strands of thread. Stitching area: 59 x 25 sts, 4¼ x 1¾in (10.5 x 7cm).

Step 3

FINISHING:
 
Remove the basting threads. Press lightly from the wrong side on a padded surface.

Step 4

TIP:
 
Try changing the snowflake color to match your decor.
