Last-Minute Salt & Pepper Shaker Costumes
A perfect, last-minute costume for couples, Salt and Pepper Shakers are cute, complimentary, and quick. Using old t-shirts and sweaters, you can cut up and wear items you already have around the house. Sew a "S" and "P" onto two shirts and add black dots to a beanie, and presto change-o, you've got yourself a couple of a costume. If you have more time, try making the fitted shaker caps for an extra bit of DIY.

Last-Minute Lady Birl Owl Costume
A Beautiful Mess
Transform a dress, t-shirt, or pillowcase into a feathery bird costume. With your wearable base, sew textured and multi-patterned fabric scraps to it in a scattered format. This costume can be made in under an hour, so are you up to the challenge? For this adorable Halloween look, one hour is worth the effort.

Last-Minute Deer Costume
While parts of this deer costume are intricate and time-consuming, this project can be fast at its essence and could be altered for men and children, as well. Starting with a brown leotard, you can sew furry material onto the front and glue it into the felt ears and tail. If you want to be more adventurous, allow yourself enough time to paper-mache two tin-foil antlers. Top this woodsy costume off with deer-like makeup, and you've got yourself a quick Halloween stunner.

Last-Minute Peter-Pan
Just because your costume is last minute doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice being unique. This Peter Pan's Escaped Shadow costume is perfect for anybody at any age. This project is as simple as cutting and sewing a few pieces of fabric into a tunic to wear over a black morphsuit. Plus, DIY a felt Peter Pan hat for an extra dash of pixie dust.

Last-Minute Ladybug Costume
Making a pillowcase dress or using a red dress, you can sew black fabric dots onto your creation for a lovely ladybug costume. This project is perfect for both girls and women alike who are looking to unleash their whimsy and love of nature. Then, take a headband and form little antennae out of pipe cleaners and pom-pom balls. Simple and yet oh-so cute!
