Forget statues and tree trunks. Canadian knitters are planning one of the greatest yarn bombs we've ever seen — creating a custom sweater for a Yukon DC-3 aircraft with a wingspan of almost 30 meters. Organized by the Yukon Transportation Museum's executive director Casey McLaughlin, the aircraft yarn bombing collected knit donations from all over North America and will use a crane to lift the finished tea cozy on August 11, 2012.
