Video: Teaching Kids to Sew

Teaching kids to sew is not an impossible task, and there are plenty of easy sewing projects for kids from felt friends to pillows. Getting your kids familiar with sewing is typically a matter of finding some kid-safe supplies like scissors and a child-size sewing machine, as well as teaching the do's and don'ts of using a sewing machine. In this video how-to, Vanessa of The Crafty Gemini shares how she begin to teach her son to sew. Vanessa's 3-year-old son is able to responsibly use sharp sewing pins and other tools in his sewing kit! He even gives a humorous explanation of what happens if you put your finger near the needle.
