I'm thinking of asking a relatively new friend to mentor me in quilting a blanket, but I'm not sure what to expect from her...
How do you ask someone to mentor you? What's your experience with expectations, results, etc?

What a great idea! I think most people would love to teach someone their skill. Who doesn't love being an expert?
But maybe there's a time crunch involved - you could trade baby or pet sitting duties, or even bring over a weekly casserole or take out each time you meet.
