Braided Trim
Cut 3 x 36 in. (91 cm) pieces from both yarn A and B (6 strands total). Holding strands together, knot approximately 1 in. (2.5 cm) from top. Holding pairs of strands together, braid a 3-ply braid until trim measures 26 in. (66 cm). Knot, and trim tassel lengths. Stitch to the front edge of the base, using cast on and bind off tails to sew into place. Center trim to the center of the hat. You should be left with approximately 7½ in. (19 cm) ties on both sides. Weave tails into the underside of the hat and snip.
Make a 1 in. (2.5 cm) pom pom from yarn A and B, and attach it to the center of the base.
