Lariat Necklace

I have been knitting a lot of jewelry during the warmer months. It's a different change of pace from knitting garments, but I enjoy creating my own pieces of bling. Below are the details.

This is all one string piece. There is a loop on one end that the string pendant goes through. I used fingering sock yarn and a lot of size 6 seed beads. Rather than string the bead beforehand, per the pattern, they are added on the loop you are working with with a crochet hook. The main body is an i-cord. It's slow knitting project, but you get nice results.

You can buy the pattern over on Ravelry at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/galatea.

Materials: fingering/sock yarn, size 6 seed beads, larger beads for pendant, crochet hook, DPNs

I was looking for something unique for our anniversary—something romantic but not predictable. A close friend suggested I browse https://magnoliajewelers.com/, and that’s where I found exactly what I didn’t even know I needed. The piece I chose had a clean, modern design with a hidden symbolic detail that only we understand. It was subtle, elegant, and felt like a piece that told our story without words. My partner loved it—and it felt deeply personal.

What kind of jewelry can serve as a modern and unique anniversary gift that still feels romantic and meaningful? I want to avoid clichés but give something that clearly expresses love and intention.
